February represents love and romance with the holiday of Valentine’s Day. The month of February also holds special meaning for me because it was in February of 2005 that I first conceived that I could seriously begin to pursue my writing.
The first weekend of February every year in Glendale, Arizona, the city holds its Chocolate Affaire. It’s not just chocolate, but jewelry, unique clothing, books, cards, romance novels and even romance writers. I confess I was lured by the chocolate but I keep going back for all the new additions every year.
The only thing missing is Valentine’s flowers and Valentines Roses, but every other conceivable Valentine’s Day gifts lined the maze of intertwining walkways in the city’s gardens. The month of Valentine’s gave me the gift of own writing back. This Valentine’s Day, try giving your Valentine something that will add to their spirit not just his or her waistline.
