Planning and Execution

As a writer, I am always pushing myself to see how much more I can produce without jeopardizing quality. Many fear the planning over the execution. For me this week, I believe the execution has proven to be the greater challenge. I’ve seen it in writing my current work in progress, Early Withdrawal, as well as with trying to freelance, work full-time and maintain my blog.
I experience no greater joy than when I am busy, but today borders on exhaustion. When I planned it all out it seemed like a matter of commitment and elbow-grease. Sometimes we get caught up in the planning that we forget we have to actually execute what we’ve planned.
I know I’ll be proud of myself when it is all said and done, but my advice today is don’t forget to consider the execution of all you’ve planned. No matter how you plan it, a week’s worth of work in a short time-span may sound achievable on paper but it’s still no easy task when it comes down to getting it done.
Know your limits and listen to your mind as well as your body. Take breaks and smile often. Trust me, the work will still be there when you get back. As a matter of fact you may find a new source of inspiration.
