My New Year’s Resolution last year was healthy eating. For 3 months, I wrote down every morsel of food and every minute of exercise rated mild, average or serious. Then I took 2 months off, yet kept eating mostly healthy and walked with a pedometer to track my steps. I know it takes 21 consistent days to change a habit. I’m now more aware of indulgences and count on fiber to cover my mistakes.
My resolution for this year is to try and read my way through my TBR pile. Of course, the book fairies fill it back up at night, so I’ll never finish, but that’s the story I tell my family, lol.
I would really love to lose weight this year no matter what my physical limitations are and the medications that I must take to be able to manage the pain.
I really would love to win these books. I can see all forms of inspiration.
A previous New Years resolution you kept
‘Don’t sweat the small stuff’ – keep my glass half full.

Smile, laugh, remember all we have to be thankful for
A New Year, New You pledge for 2009 (that will benefit someone else)
Stay kind, share smiles and laughter

Kept a resolution to quit smoking……that was in 1991 and haven’t or wanted to smoke since. Just think of all the money I saved to spend on chocolate….*g*
A few years ago I resolved to lose weight and I finally accomplished that by a drop of 20 lbs.

I will continue to seek out ways to serve Him through service to others.
To walk across the George Washington Bridge and back
I made a resolution in 1999 to fix my credit and do whatever it took to own my own house. I succeeded and am still plugging along. It’s been tough the last couple of years but I wanted this so bad and I am dedicated to not losing it. Which is why my goal for 2009 is to better control my finances so I don’t risk the house in these troubled times.
