Writing Life’s Happenings

Often life is a series of happenings: what happens to us, what we make happen, what we prevent from happening and happenings over which we have no control. A combination of these events is what makes life an existence in motion as opposed to an abstract concept.
In getting the most of out of your life or out of the life of your characters you must involve the various forms of “happenings”. A life well-lived or well-written doesn’t exist in a series of what happens to us. At some point, how we interact with the happenings whether we react, anticipate or facilitate them is what makes our lives unique and interesting.
