Dr. Martin Luther King

This will be a short post because I want it to just focus on the lasting words of MLK and honor his legacy.
Living in a state where law makers were not progressive enough or tolerant enough or open enough to grant this leader the honor of a state holiday without years of struggle and battles at the poll, I feel especially blessed to now be living in a time where not only can we honor a representative not only of the black race but of the human race who fought for equality but also we are on the eve of swearing in a man who also believes in that vision and has experienced that fight from my point of view. We’ve all come a long way from just “believing it can be so” to “seeing that it is so.”
